And the time sink required to get various Linux distros to work properly is outrageous. Plus, the Linux ‘community‘ is filled with a-holes who aren’t helpful. And gaming is abysmal on Linux.

Who wants to spend never ending hours tinkering with an OS just so it will properly talk to common hardware/peripherals? Aspie losers, that’s who.

Ubuntu and Linux mint and pop os and debian exist idiot. Also Not all Linux communities are Filled with assholes Look at Ubuntu and Linux mint and Pop os and Ubuntu based and other user friendly Linux distros such as Debian

That's because running an server requires actual skill it's not a computer so only experts and smart enough people use it + Even If your new it's not hard to learn sure it's text based but it's not Hard enough look at Ubuntu and debian and other linux distros they are good

Anyone who doesn't want to share their info with microshaft or be dependent on crapple "quality". Honestly the only point you made that is objectively correct is the one about the peripherals. Only solution here is to get a different printer that is known to be compatible without trouble.

Nonsense. ALL of the Linux distros require constant and never-ending tinkering to get them to perform, at their very best, about 50% as well as MacOS and maybe 65% as well as Windows.

Granted, there are people who actually enjoy all of that tinkering, but busy and important people simply want an OS that works without it being a hassle to maintain it.

And there is NOTHING crappy about Apple products - they are the very best.

you can't install CrappleOS on other systems

In order to get Crapple Products that are new and not old you have to sell your kidneys

Also Crapple removed 32-bit support just like how Windows removed 16-bit support on 64-bit EVEN though MBR is 16-bit and compatibility reasons

also CrappleOS can't even run OPENGL

You cannot even Upgrade Crapple Products Because oh noes that makes less profit

That has nothing to do with the quality of Apple products. Yes, Apple has somewhat of a closed system, but their App Store hosts many 3rd party apps.

You can desire an end to DRM while also realising that Apple products are superior to everything else on the consumer market.

MacOS is the luxury car of all operating systems - of course Apple is going to protect it.

The best things in life are usually not cheap.

OpenGL is overrated. Use the Metal framework ins.

Let me interject for a moment. That is a BIG maybe (I wouldn't know, never owned any crapple product) and only until the updates run out and the only option left is to install Linux on the deprecated hardware :)

but on the topic of using linux, i really don't like a lot of modern DEs.
on the two linux computers I have (one embedded, one for random shit) i use motif+CDE on debian. i really like CDE's simplicity and speed.
after configuring them all I didn't have to worry much there.
